SURFACE DATA: Generally good. 


SOUNDING - PROFILER COMPARISON:

RASS good. Parallel to and warmer (1.0 deg.) than sonde.

Comparison of low and high mode profiler wind speed and direction 
to that of CLASS sounding.

11/30 06Z (0501): Speed: within 3 m/s between 800-1800m (low mode only).
		  Poor elsewhere.
		  Direction: within 30 deg. above 1km. Poor below.
11/30 08Z (0809): Speed: within 3 m/s throughout (low mode only).
		  Speed: within 3 m/s above 1800m. (high mode).
		  Direction: within 20 deg. above 800m. Poor below.
11/30 12Z (1101): Speed: both modes  within 4 m/s, but oscillation in sounding
		  wind data.
		  Direction: (both modes) - within 30 deg. throughout.
11/30 14Z (1347): Speed: No profiler data below 1.5km. Poor agreement elsewhere.
		  Direction: within 30 deg. above 1.5km.
11/30 18Z (1800): Speed: limited agreement - only low mode 500-1500m.
		  Direction: (both modes) - within 20-30 deg. throughout.
12/01 00Z (2302): Speed: High mode - bad (8-10 m/s diff.) below 1000m. Low mode
		  within 2-3 m/s throughout. High mode within 2-4 m/s above 1000m.
		  Sounding wind speed has small oscillation.
		  Direction: (both modes) - within 20 deg. above 1000m. Poor below.


PROFILER DATA:

Low mode: typically to 2.0 to 3.5 km. 
High mode: typically to 3.0 to 4.5 km. 
RASS: profiles today: 400-1000m.

SOUNDING COMMENTS:

11/30 06Z (0501): Sonde T,Td values high prior to launch (in launcher), 
                  otherwise, good sounding.
11/30 08Z (0809): Sonde T,Td values high prior to launch (in launcher);
                  Some bad wind data near 250mb; otherwise, good sounding.
11/30 12Z (1101): Sonde T values slightly high prior to launch (in launcher),
                  otherwise, good sounding.
11/30 14Z (1347): Good sounding.
11/30 18Z (1751): Good sounding.
12/01 00Z (2300): Sonde T,Td values high prior to launch (in launcher), 
		  otherwise, good sounding.

SURFACE DATA:

All sensors look good. 


SOUNDING - PROFILER WIND COMPARISON:

RASS - Sounding temperature comparison is good.

Comparison of low and high mode profiler wind speed and direction 
to that of CLASS sounding.

11/30 18Z (1703): Speed within 2-4 m/s throughout (both modes).
		  Direction: within 20 deg throughout.
12/01 00Z (2258): Speed within 2-4 m/s throughout (both modes).
		  Direction: within 10-20 deg throughout.
12/01 06Z (0459): No sounding wind data below 1.5km. Poor agreement above that.
		  Profiler data only to 2km.
		  Direction: within 20-30 deg above 1.5km.
12/01 12Z (1105): Speed within 2-3 m/s throughout (both modes).
		  Direction: Good agreement where sounding data is good (above
		  1.5km). Profiler wind data below 1.5km looks good.

PROFILER DATA:

Low mode: 2.0 to 3.5 km. 
High mode: 2.5 to 4.0 km.
RASS: profiles generally to 600-1000 m.

SOUNDING COMMENTS:

11/30 18Z (1703): Good sounding.
12/01 00Z (2258): Good sounding.
12/01 06Z (0459): Missing/Bad wind data: below 900mb; near 450mb; and between 
		  200-335mb. Sensor arm heating at launch. Some noise in 
		  T and Td (will clean up in post processing).
12/01 12Z (1105): Sensor arm heating at launch. Low level winds (direction)
		  questionable (below 1.5km.).
