Box 3000 Boulder, CO 80307 USA Phone: 303-497-8164 FAX: 303-497-8158 E-Mail Address: sfw@ucar.edu Data Set Description: 915 MHz Radio Acoustic Sounding System (RASS) Temperature profiles of the NCAR/Integrated Sounding System (ISS) upper air data collected at Cape Grim during the ACE-1 intensive operations, via the NCAR/Atmospheric Technology Division (ATD), and then converted to GIF image format. These images consist of temperature profiles to approx 1500 m height (AGL) at 60 m vertical resolution, taken every 30-min. The data used in these plots are PRELIMINARY and could change significantly following final processing by ATD. NOTE -These plots were created in near real-time in the field from PRELIMINARY data and are for browse purposes only! Data Type: Sounding Observational Frequency: 30 minute Format: GIF images The images are screen snapshots and show inoperable control buttons and/or logo icons from the data display software used to create the GIFs. File Name Conventions: MMDDHHmm.gif where MM is the month, DD is the day, HH is the hour, and mm is the minute. An example would for 3 December 1995 at 12:23 is 12031223.gif. References: None.
