Seawater CO is not operational
NMHC:
Instrumentation not operational. System for C2-C3 NMHC sampling, but
needs calibration.
CO2:
Instrumentation fully operational.
Nitrate/Chlorophyll:
Nitrate concentrations are approximately 1 uM. Seawater
fluorescence is being recorded continuously. Surface seawater
samples are being collected every 4 hours for discrete chlorophyll analysis.
DMS:
Instrumentation fully operational. Concentrations are around 50ppt.
SO2:
Instrumentation fully operational.
NH3:
Working on HPLC system. Sampling with oxalic acid coated filters.
CO:
Atmospheric CO measurements fully operational. Conc. continue near 60 ppb.
NMHC:
Instrumentation fully operational.
O3:
Atmospheric O3 fully operational. Concentrations near 20 ppb.
Nitrogen oxides and PAN:
Not operational due to instrument problems and insufficient winds.
Radon:
Instrumentation fully operational.
CO2:
Instrumentation fully operational.
Solar Radiation:
Spectrometer is operational, scans every 15 minutes.
Aerosol physics:
Sizing instrumentation fully operational.
Clean, Ntotal = 550 pp/cc, "open" size distribution.
Aerosol chemistry:
2-stage and 7-stage impactors currently sampling for time
periods ranging from 24 to 72 hours for IC, total organic carbon, speciated
organics, and gravimetric analysis.
Aerosol optical properties:
Instrumentation (nephelometer and PSAP) fully
operational. Absorption coefficient low.
TDMA-RH:
Fully operational, running at the following dry sizes: 35nm,
50nm, 50nm, and 150nm. Humidities 50% and 90%.
TDMA-Thermal:
System up. volatility trends in current high pressure
airmass of 11-20-95: (temp scans from 25C to 150 C)
Dp selected sizes Dp (T range) = stable particle size in nm
Aitken mode 35nm:
Dp(60-105C) = 34.5
Dp(115-135C) = 32.0
Dp(150) = 29.2
(volatility seems all internally mixed)
