File names are in the form cAmmddhh.gif, where A is an altitude code: "1", "8", or "x", for 1, 8, or 10 km. "mmddhh" gives month, day, and hour. DC8 flight path has been added to PEMT-B total CO simulation. This includes industrial/urban emissions, biomass burning, isoprene and methane contributions. Boundary conditions are based on MAPS and PEMT-B observations. The simulations used MM5 and Graces run at 100 km resolution and were spun up from 20 February. The flight path is shown for time from 3 hours before the time of the plot to 3 hour after. The color of the flight path plot is green, if the aircraft was within 1 km of the plot altitude. red, if the aircraft was below the plot altitude - 1 km. blue, if the aircraft was above the plot altitude + 1 km. For example, for the 1 km data, green lines indicate all locations for where the aircraft altitude was between 0 and 2 km, blue lines indicate that the aircraft was above 2 km. A red line in not possible for the 1 km data. Our analysis suggests that transport patterns within a 2 km region are similar.
