Passports and Visas
Passports must be valid for at least 6 months past the
date of return at the end of the mission.

have the same entry requirements as the US.
Participants are encouraged to verify these visa requirements
to ensure that information has not changed.
*Since entry requirements have changed frequently
for citizens of these countries in the past, the traveler must
check with the nearest consulate or embassy of the country in question
for current requirements.
The following provides additional entry requirement
information for each overseas site for the nationalities of currently
known TRACE-P participants. Countries normally charge some type
of fee for visas and visa applications, please contact the nearest
consulate or embassy for details. Visa fees are reimbursable expenses.

passport (either official or tourist) and a departure airline ticket.
(For those who will depart on NASA aircraft, arrangements will
be made.) A tourist visa is issued upon arrival. A departure tax
of 50 Hong Kong dollars (approximately $6.50 U.S.) must be paid
at the airport.

Anyone requiring a visa should check with the embassy or consulate
of the country being visited regarding specific requirements for
obtaining a visa. Neither NASA nor the SAIC GTE Project Office
personnel can obtain visas for travelers. The Project Office can
provide letters describing the mission and substantiating the applicant’s
participation. The Project Office can also support any required
travel to an embassy or consulate. NASA and other U.S. Government
employees using official passports should check with their own
organizational sources for obtaining visas.
